Beginning now, I'll be having a Saturday Night Sale in my Etsy Shop! Until Sunday morning at 5:00 Central, you will receive a 25% discount on any item in my shop (except the original Polaroids). Either convo me to adjust the prices before the transaction, or make the transaction and I'll reimburse the 25% after the transaction (only works with Paypal). The discount applies only to the merchanise.

It was a beautiful day in Minnesota. We enjoyed temperatures of 45 degrees Fahrenheit, and I had the chance to go out shooting. I brought my Hasselblad, a Holga, and my SX-70 with Artistic Time-Zero film and a blue filter. All in all, I got some satisfying results, though some are still on exposed but undeveloped film. I hope to spend some time this evening scanning Polaroids!

Tiny Treasures

The sales of everyone who lists on Etsy are being affected by the economy, in my opinion, but I think this is especially true for artists whose goods are not perceived as essential or otherwise useful. Furthermore, buyers do not seem to be as interested as they once were in buying large fine art photography prints. They may, however, be interested in collecting fine art photography at more affordable prices. That's why I am now offering small collectibles, which are prints 4"x6" in size and smaller, all priced at 5 USD or less.

Also, the small prints of Polaroids in that section of my shop are nice to collect for another reason besides cost, which is that the small 4"x5" size print is quite close to the size of the original objet d'art. Collecting small reproductions is definitely a nice alternative to collecting original Polaroids, which are very expensive!

I'll be stocking up my shop with more of these tiny treasures! I hope you'll stop by frequently to see what new small collectibles will be appearing!

There Will Never Be Another Blue

The Northern light of Lake Superior made the perfect palette to reflect the perfect beauty of Time-Zero film. Though you will never be able to shoot fresh (non-expired) Time-Zero film again, you can collect the prints reflect the beauty of its colors. This listing, The Blue Rim of Memory, is from the silver and cyan palette characteristic of Time-Zero film.

Also, if you buy one print from my Etsy shop, you will receive a gift print (equal or lesser value) from my shop. You need only convo me with your selection so that I can move it to a reserve listing.

Moving Sale!

I packed up my blog (at least the part of it concerned with Etsy) and moved it Wordpress.com to Blogger. As part of the housecleaning, I'm having an Etsy BOGO sale. Buy one print from my gallery and get another print of equal or lesser value. Just convo me to notify me of your selection so that I can move it to a reserved listing.

This photograph is of some dried flowers from my late grandmother's garden. I had left them drying for years before taking them out and subsequently photographing them. This print of a Time-Zero Polaroid taken with somewhat expired film is called The Light of Sweet Remembrance.

Moving Day!

I'm separating my Etsy blog from my photoblog. Blogger is just more convenient to the Etsy seller. I won't delete my photoblog, but I want a place where I can follow and be followed by others who are part of the Etsy community. It will take a while for me to sort out my CSS and template, but I'll get there.

For now, I'm just going to post a couple of 35mm film photographs shot with Neopan, my favorite b/w film. The first is a photograph of my son behind my part of my sister's nativity set from our Christmas festivities. I'll definitely be using this for next year's Christmas card.



This next image was also taken with Neopan film. The young woman who is the subject is the girlfriend of my oldest son. She is also a photographer.
